ARTIST'S BIO
Rachel Walker has always been fascinated with fashion, history, and telling stories so it is natural that her paintings always reflect these loves.
Often a new piece she starts with the clothes and the story and situation evolve from there.
Rachel Graduated with a degree in Costume Design from California State University of Fullerton and has been painting since she could hold a brush.

Her work has been admired for her interesting point of view and subject matter, along with a strong sense of movement, color and humor. She takes inspiration from everywhere, especially her passion for other cultures and mixing very traditional elements with the something unexpected.
Rachel has also won numerous awards for he craft, including 1st and 3rd in Shakespearean Costuming and 3 best of shows for the Glendora Chalk Art Festival. And when not painting or sewing she enjoys Historical recreation events, watching Zombie movies, reading by her koi pond, or playing video games with her husband Dave. |
