Sindi Wasserman

ARTIST'S BIO

Sindi Diane Wasserman is a teacher and therapist living in Chino, California. She was born in Hollywood, a twin. She has loved art and photography as long as she can remember...always having been captivated by the faces of people she saw in Look and Life magazines. Her passion, however, is nature and architecture. She loves to take photographs of structures and to juxtapose them with the natural environment.

A Social Ecology major at UC Irvine, Sindi studied environmental psychology, community mental health, criminal justice, and received a minor in Spanish and English. Now a National Board Certified teacher, Sindi has always loved children. She had dedicated her life to helping immigrants to the United States learn English and adapt to our country. Working mainly with the victims of child abuse and domestic violence at the counseling center where she serves as a Marriage Family therapist...Sindi strives to make a difference whether it is through direct one-on-one contact~ or whether it is through her love of art and photography.

Sindi loves to travel and has spent quite a bit of her rare moments off from her busy schedule visiting places like Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, Thailand, and the Virgin Islands. She hopes someday to go to Viet Nam and to Ireland. Green is Sindi's favorite color and it is no surprise that so much of the foliage from the natural beauty of the places both in and outside of the United States where Sindi has traveled....has appeared in her photographs. She hopes her images will create a feeling of peace and harmony for whomever is viewing them.
