September 21 we were proud to feature Celia Casarez, Helen Cherkasova, Chinlan Chiang, Randy Mora and Tina Watson.
Celia Casarez
Creative in all aspects is a great way to describe Celia - She has taken classes in art, floral arrangement, pattern sketching and design; she has an eye for selecting the perfect fabrics, colors, and textures to decorate a room, and she sews! Cooking with the finest ingredients, she has eloquently created gourmet Mexican dishes, which in turn have inspired some of her paintings
Helen Cherkasova
My journey in art began unexpectedly - Eight years ago I picked up a brush for the first time, and since then, painting has become an inseperable part of my life. It is my language to share feelings, memories and dreams. I was born and raised in Ukraine, and this background always echoes in my work - from landscapes and still-lifes to female figures where reality and imagination intertwine For me art is a path to myself - a way to see beauty in simple things and preserve the moments I want to remember.
My creative motto: ‘Where emotions become colours.’
Chinlan Chiang
Contemporary abstract painter from Taiwan, Chinlin’s recent work offers the viewer a magnificent sense of energy, space, movement and harmony. She conveys energy and the power of nature to her audience and hopes they appreciate the beauty of nonfigurative art. Each of her works represents a precious moment in her life. The movement in her works introduce stillness, leading to peace and calm.
Randy Mora
Randy began making posters to put his thoughts out-there. He wanted to let people know that they can make art no matter what, nothing stops you but yourself.
Randy wants people to look at his art and say ‘I like this picture, or that is very interesting.’
Tina Watson
Tina is a fused glass artist who has been working in the medium for ten years. She is drawn to the color and light of glass art; so whimsical and bright. She studied in Seattle WA at the Pratt Fine Arts Center and now resides in La Verne with her husband and yellow Lab.
She will have several beautiful dishes available on her table and a small box of pendants as well for purchase.
